Then you can easily switch to whole-wheat or even all-purpose bleached flour. The thought of grinding blanched almonds to make your own blanched almond flour when you have so many papers to grade is making your skin crawl? You can easily substitute whatever you normally use. The same goes for vegan mayonnaise, quinoa pasta, sea salt, soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, garbanzo bean flour, tofurky, and the rest.

I am so impressed and excited about so many of the recipes in this book. Many of them are allergen free or slight modifications can be made so that they are allergen free. I'm excited about making muffins and a new variety of French Toast for my son, who has many life threatening allergies. I've got 14 pages worth of bookmarks so far, and I'm just barely half way through reading the recipes.

I got this for my Kindle, although I honestly didn't think I'd use a cookbook from a Kindle. But, for travel, who knows- it might come in handy. I am also eager to check out the various blogs and websites from the many people who contributed recipes to this compilation. I may just have to take an evening to checking into the websites that are listed.
We made Pink Hummus tonight and it was delicious. We did laugh all during dinner, as it was a remarkable shade of magenta, which is not normally a food color. Beet color goes a long way. Eager to try the muffin recipes and will hopefully try the French Toast this weekend. This was for kids? I found a handful of recipes I would try, but many of them are vegan and sugar free. There's nothin wrong with that lifestyle, but wasn' what I was looking for. I was expecting quick easy healthy foods kids would enjoy, mainly for my husband who spends most of his day at work.
I doubt that kids would even want to try half if what's in this book. It should be titled smart shook recipes for vegan children. It would have captured the right audience.
If you are caterin Wait.. If you are catering to someone in your household with food allergies I would recommend this book because it has MANY alternative recipes, that I imagine are normally difficult to find. Good variations of food: Some of the recipes I don't think would cater to kids, especially picky eaters, or picky husbands I added this book to my iPod because I needed some packed lunch inspiration. It was exactly what I needed!
The kids will appreciate the delicious lunches and I'll enjoy knowing that they are eating something healthy. The recipes are allergy-friendly and include milk, wheat, egg and nut-free foods. I plan to keep this on my iPod for many months: Pretty good suggestions for lunch recipes. I assumed "smart" meant "easy" but alas, it means "healthy.

This book is free. Despite that, it is an awesome book. This is not just a few recipes and their variations. The author covers her subject fairly comprehensively. Recently, I found out that I am allergic to dairy. I had been incredibly frustrated with the information that I'd found on the web; until, I stumbled across this book which led me to the author's web site and also her dairy free book.
I felt that I had to disclose that information for 2 reasons. I'm now very biased positively regard This book is free.

I'm now very biased positively regarding this author. I have a dairy free viewpoint. Sooooo, it is not clear to me whether this book would be all that helpful to those without food restrictions. However, the author, IMHO, is very even-handed in her writing. By the way, this cook book isn't Dairy Free specific, but rather the author does include alternatives to dairy for most if not all the recipes. I plan on trying several of the recipes in the book.
And, I made the Tofu Cottage Cheese today.
