That cover is sooooo adorable! Too bad the story isn't. But this book lacks in many things. Mostly Rylie hides stuff and Jack's unwell and Rylie is worrying over him You could switch Jack with Rylie's granny and it wouldn't make much of a difference.
Rylie doesn't want to do anything without stalling. She doesn't know much, but when that guy wants to tell her stuff about vampirism she just walks off with Jack. She doesn't even hear him out even though they were in a public place. Now she has to go another thing to achieve the same goal. That voodoo lady didn't enlighten her with precious gems of wisdom.
Let's go looking for Jack here then there and fill pages because why not? Anything big or small is supposed to add significance to the plot. Quinton was cute and his banter with Rylie was more fun than anything else in this book. Feb 15, Lorre rated it really liked it. Now that Rylie doesn't have any werewolves following her, you would think that her and Jack are finally going to able to enjoy their new relationship.

And a whole team of Vamp's especially a hunk of a one Quinton comes in Yum I loved the ending I actually laughed for me when Lily asked her to be her maid of honor you notice Lily has no one but Rylie that's why she keeps bugging her. This book picks up right where the other left off with Rylie headed to her parent's house with Jack in tow.
Vampires are hassling them because of her uncle's gambling debts. During the scuffle Jack gets bit. But he doesnt become full vampire, but something else that Rylie knows nothing about. She comes to realize she actually knows little about most of the other paranormals. A couple new characters introduced and some definite changes with the boyfriends, sure there will be more on that in the next one. A little unsure on the whole turning someone into a vampire though. She has a knack for pairing the right people together. She has just started dating the very attractive, Jack Chandler who just happens to be a Psychiatrist. This book is fun and has plenty of adventure into the world of vampire and werewolves. You will enjoy reading it and will hunger for more. I highly recommend it. Don't you hate it when you read a sequel to an amazing book and it totally lets you down? Snarky, vulnerable and lovable, Rylie is a heroine that should remind each of us a little of ourselves. With Jack and Stephen being turned to full fledged vampires it's going to get really interesting.

I should have just skipped it though. I found myself really disliking some of the characters, including the heroine. I found her to be rude and stupid. The premise that she would be running a dating service for paranormals but know virtually nothing about any of them was ridiculous.

The only thing holding me back from this awesome story is she was getting on my nerves with the smart mouth comebacks. At some point I was really rolling my eyes telling her to move on. Hard to tell who really wants to help and who is murderous. Lots of chasing all over NOLA, including the cemeteries! Very snarky and engaging.
